Cabling & Structural Tree Supports
Preserve beloved mature trees with structural defects. Our certified arborists install flexible dynamic cables and rigid steel braces to prevent catastrophic failure in severe storms.
How Supplemental Support Systems Work
Many mature trees develop multiple co-dominant stems or tight "V-shaped" branch unions with included bark. As heavy canopy weight increases, these unions become high-risk failure points during heavy snow, ice, or high winds. Rather than unnecessarily removing the tree, supplemental support systems provide vital mechanical reinforcement.
Dynamic Cobra Cabling
Synthetic, shock-absorbing hollow ropes installed in the upper two-thirds of the canopy. Allows normal natural movement while preventing extreme separation.
Rigid Steel Bracing Rods
High-tensile threaded steel rods bolted directly through split or cracked branch junctions to hold the trunk securely together.
Cabling in the Field
Dynamic Cobra cable installed high in mature canopy
Custom structural prop and brace engineering
