What are your hours of operation?
Our office and customer care team is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Crews operate in the field throughout the workweek.
Do you work during the winter months?
Yes! Cohen & Master operates all year round. While some biological plant and soil treatments are seasonal, winter is actually one of the best times for structural pruning, cabling, and large tree removals because the ground is firm and dormancy prevents disease transmission.
Can I get a tree quote over the phone?
Because every tree and property is unique—with distinct heights, obstacles, drop zones, overhead wires, and structural defects—we do not provide binding quotes over the phone. We perform thorough on-site property evaluations to provide transparent, accurate proposals. For emergency hazards, photos are helpful to prioritize dispatch.
Do I need to be home when the arborist arrives for the quote?
We always love meeting with you in person to walk your property and discuss your goals. However, if your schedule does not allow it, our arborists can independently visit your exterior property and email you an itemized proposal with clear notes and photos.
Do I need to be home when the crew performs the tree work?
No, you do not need to take time off work. We just ask that side gates are unlocked, pets are kept indoors, and the driveway is clear of parked vehicles so our chip trucks and equipment can park safely.
How quickly can my job be scheduled after I approve the quote?
Timing depends on logistical requirements. For standard pruning and removals without permit requirements, jobs are typically scheduled within 1 to 2 weeks. If your job requires municipal tree removal permits, city contractor agreements, or utility locates, we handle these filings in advance before dispatching.
